Let's Go Back to 'Jurassic World' in This Trailer for New 'Indominus Escape' Lego Short (Exclusive)

Marcus ErricoEditor-in-Chief, Yahoo Entertainment

Jurassic World is re-opened for business. Funny business.

One of last year’s blockbuster films is coming back in block-busting form thanks to the minds at Lego — as you can see in Yahoo Movies’ exclusive trailer debut for Lego Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape. (Watch above.)

Beginning Oct. 3, the Lego and Jurassic World YouTube channels will roll out five daily installments that will ultimately form a 24-minute story. Universal will release a DVD collecting Indominus Escape and another 8-minute short as part of a Jurassic World bundle releasing Oct. 18.

As you tell by the trailer, Indominus Escape is not a strict retelling of the movie; instead, the animated short riffs on characters, creatures, and plot points in a zany new rampaging-dino adventure.

Owen Grady
It’s Owen Grady to the rescue… maybe. (‘Lego Jurassic World: Indominus Escapes’/NBCUniversal/Lego)

Indominus Escape will help tide over fans until the live-action Jurassic World sequel, bringing back stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, arrives in 2018 — presumably with a slew of terrifying new beasties destined for Lego-fication.
