Michael Mann Book Line to Include ‘Heat’ Prequel
Michael Mann is taking his vision from the screen to the page — and one of his projects is a prequel to his 1995 film “Heat.”
The writer-director is launching the novel line Michael Mann Books, a spokeswoman for the director told TheWrap on Wednesday. One of the planned books will follow the formative years of Vincent Hanna, Neil McCauley, Chris Shiherlis and Nate, played by Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer and Jon Voight, respectively, in the cult crime drama.
The book line, which was first reported by Deadline, will be penned by a group of writer, with plans to also develop the works for movies and television.
