The D-Day would be arriving in less than a month from now and with the release of DABANGG 2, it would be there for all to see that how Arbaaz Khan's transition from an actor to a director has paid off for him. One wonders though how someone like him, who has been more active in the world of acting after having faced the camera for around 40 odd films in last decade and a half, managed to turn into an overnight director.
Smiles Arbaaz, "Perhaps you are not as much familiar about my work. Direction isn't alien to me. I was assisting Mahesh Bhatt saab in his films during the earlier years and was associated with him for three films. These were the years when I learnt the ropes of direction. Moreover, for our home productions as well, all of us family members do discuss scenes and all. Our family comes from the world of films through generations so it all turns out to be a natural evolution process to get a hang of things."
He doesn't deny stating that it hasn't been a cakewalk while putting together the project.
"See, there would be certain amount of anxiety that comes with every job. It was there when I turned actor 15 years back with DARAAR. Then it was also there when I opened my production house for DABANGG. So it was but natural to be curious about how things would look like when I start calling the shots. However, more than anything else, it was a feeling of positivism that surrounded me," adds Arbaaz in a relaxed tone.
Come 21st December and one would look forward to how this positive energy has rubbed on to the final shape that DABANGG 2 takes.
