Penélope Cruz Is a Human Life Raft in 'Zoolander 2' International Trailer

The first Zoolander 2 trailer clued us in to the plot of the comedy sequel: Runway models Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel McDonald (Owen Wilson), now washed-up has-beens, are enlisted to help an Interpol agent (Penélope Cruz) stop an assassination plot against beautiful celebrities. In the new international trailer, we learn more about Cruz’s character Valentina, who has a few modeling tricks up her own sleeve. Watch the trailer above.

As Valentina tells Derek and Hansel, she used to be a swimsuit model — but her ample cleavage prevented her from achieving supermodel status. (And lest you think this is just a joke, Kate Upton has made the same complaint.) Fortunately, the two male models give her an entree the high-fashion world, just in time to catch the killer whose victims all flash Zoolander’s “Blue Steel” look before they die. And Valentina’s curves are an unexpected asset in the spy business: When all else fails, she has enough buoyancy to keep two people afloat. “Who says swimsuit models are useless,” indeed?

Zoolander 2 hits theaters in February.
