Proof That Chris Pratt Is Perfect for Indiana Jones
Chris Pratt’s ongoing quest for fortune and glory continues. After a star-making 2014 that included lead roles in two of the biggest AND best movies of the year (Guardians of the Galaxy and The Lego Movie) and the procuring of another lead gig in what’s sure to be one of 2015’s biggest and hopefully best movies (Jurassic World), a new report claims that Pratt is wanted by Disney to play Indiana Jones in a franchise reboot.
It’s more proof that good things happen to good people — Pratt is genuinely one of the nicest people in the biz. But even moreso, it’s just pitch-perfect casting. Pratt proved in Guardians that he possesses the right blend of physicality, charisma, and humor to make a marquee action star. This guy can handle the whip and the wisecracks with equivalent ease. You could even argue that Pratt’s been auditioning for Indy his entire career. Here’s evidence:
1. He knows how to keep his eye on the prize. Also looks good in leather.
2. He knows how to ride.
3. He knows how to fly. (Or, at least, act like he knows how to fly.)
4. He can handle a weapon.
4. Dude is buff now. Pratt’s come a long way since the early days of Andy Dwyer on NBC’s Parks and Rec.
In fact he’s in much better shape than original Indy Harrison Ford ever was.
5. He has experience with snakes. OK, different kind of snakes, but still…
6. He can rock that fedora.
This fan art wasn’t even created today; it has been around since the release of Guardians. In other words, the Internet has been clamoring for this.
