Remembering Alan Rickman: His Most Memorable Roles

Alan Rickman, who is best known for playing Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies and Hans Gruber in Die Hard, has died. According to a statement released by his family on Jan. 14, the British actor and director — who was famous for his deep voice, which added a sinister aspect to many of his characters — was surrounded by family and friends when he passed away from cancer. He was 69.
