Daisy Ridley thinks it’s “quite funny” that people keep asking her who Rey’s parents are — and has hinted that it might not be as big a mystery as everyone thinks. In an interview with Time Out London, the Star Wars: The Force Awakens star, who also narrated the documentary The Eagle Huntress (now in theaters), had a surprising take on the question that has been baffling Star Wars fans for the past year.

“I thought a lot was answered in The Force Awakens,” Ridley told the magazine. “Then after the screening, I went for a drink with my agent and everyone, and we were chatting away and I realized that ‘Oh, in their minds it’s not answered at all!'”

We’ve learned not to read too much into these vague Star Wars interview answers — J.J. Abrams, for example, remarked earlier this year that Rey’s parents “are not in Episode VII“ (which would seem to rule out several major possibilities), then backtracked to explain that all he meant was that she doesn’t find out who they are in Episode VII (which we obviously already knew.) Ridley’s response, however, does suggest that the answer to the mystery is something pretty obvious — so Rey is probably related to Luke, Leia, or Obi-Wan, rather than Emperor Palpatine, Rogue One‘s Jyn Erso, or one of the other, fringier possibilities.

Ridley told Vulture this fall that the question of Rey’s parentage will be answered in Episode VIII, which hits theaters on Dec. 15, 2017. In the meantime, she’s gotten used to people badgering her for clues.

“I do find it quite funny that people keep asking about it,” Ridley told Time Out. “Just yesterday a guy asked to take a picture with me, and went, ‘Is Luke your dad?’ And I was like, ‘Chill out, you’ll see!'”

And when people find out the truth, said Ridley, they still won’t have all the answers.

“I’d love to see the look on people’s faces [when they find out],’ the actress said. “But with answers come more questions, and there’s definitely going to be enough to keep people going for another two years!”
