'The Force Awakens' is just nine months away, but you'd never know it if you looked at the toy aisles or tried to buy an official tee at your local department store. In part to clamp down on spoilers — and in part to maximize hype — Lucasfilm and Disney have been extremely careful about rolling out any significant 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' merchandise. At last month's Toy Fair, while other cinematic tie-in toys were unveiled en masse, 'The Force Awakens' was virtually MIA — even long-time licensees like Hasbro and Lego aren't able to reveal their wares until closer to the sequel's Dec. 18 release.
