Welcome to Jurassic World!

The first trailer for the Colin Trevorrow-directed follow-up — which you can see above — hit the internet Tuesday, two days ahead of its planned Thanksgiving launch date. From the looks of the thrills in store, we doubt fans will complain about the early arrival.

The film, which is due out in June of 2015, stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Omar Sy, Ty Simpkins and Judy Greer in a story that picks up 20 years after the original Steven Spielberg-directed smash.

Despite the horrible disasters that marked the first three films, InGen, the park’s parent company, has managed to open up a gorgeous, fully functional vacation destination on Isla Nubar. Like a prehistoric-themed, biologically dicey Disney World, the resort comes complete with hotels, restaurants, golf courses and more, and hosts 20,000 very wealthy visitors a year. In the trailer, we focus on one particular tourist, a young boy (played by Simkins) who’s visiting the park with an older kid.

While they’re taking in the awe-inspiring sights, Howard’s corporate drone is extolling the wonders of a new, genetically enhanced super-smart mega-dino. Among those not impressed is a grave-looking Pratt: “You just went and made a new dinosaur? Probably not a good idea,” he says in the understatement of the year. After a getting a quick glimpse of one new beast — which, in a not-so-subtle Jaws nod, jumps out the water at a theme-park attraction and eats a shark — we can’t help agreeing with him. See for yourself:

The trailer also includes more than a few homages to Spielberg’s smash-hit original: A wild stampede of dinosaurs; a child hiding in the dark as a beast hovers nearby; and Howard yelling the word no one ever wants to hear while visiting a giant park full of toothy, terrifying, lab-made monsters: "Run!" We’ll be doing the same when Jurassic World opens next summer.
