Jinkx Monsoon and Fred Schneider Serve Fish, Pork in 'Bacon Shake' Video
Do you love RuPaul's Drag Race? Cured breakfast meats? The peppy, Love Shack-rattling sounds of the B-52's? Well, then, Jinkx Monsoon's new music video for "The Bacon Shake," starring B-52's mouthpiece Fred Schneider and a bunch of dancing boys dressed like strips of Sizzlean, is the video for you. It's the breakfast of RuPaul's Drag Race champions!
Yes, while some Drag Race contestants serve fish, the series' Season 5 winner and starlet of the traveling cabaret show "The Vaudevillians" apparently prefers to serve pork. (Jinkx must also like to serve beverages, as her previous single — from her full-length debut, The Inevitable Album — was titled "Coffee & Wine.")
Jinkx told Out.com this week: "Sometimes it's really surreal for me to be hanging out with Fred [Schneider]. I'll hear his voice and I think I'm 10 years old and dancing to good music all over again. That's been the most amazing thing of doing Drag Race and all the wonderful people I've met." Jinkx also revealed that there might be more Monsoon/Schneider collaborations in the future, saying, "[The Vaudevillians] have a lot of half-baked ideas; we welcome Fred to help us make them a reality."
All that's missing in Jinkx's new video? A side dish of rock lobster, of course…
