1 hurt in accidental shooting in Baton Rouge Sunday morning
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — An accidental shooting left one person hurt at an apartment Sunday morning.
An East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office spokesperson confirmed the shooting happened on Jefferson Highway after a firearm was accidentally discharged. The person who was shot was left with non-life-threatening injuries.
Deputies said the shooting happened inside an apartment. No further details were released.
Another Baton Rouge shooting over the weekend left one person dead. Police said a 25-year-old victim died Saturday night in the 1700 block of North Harco Drive near South Choctaw Drive. No suspect has been identified as officers continue investigating.
