1 injured, 1 arrested in Wood Village stabbing
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A man was arrested for attempted murder and other charges after allegedly stabbing a person in Wood Village Thursday morning.
At around 7:15 a.m., MCSO deputies responded to a report of a stabbing in the 23000 block of Northeast Halsey Street. On arrival, a deputy found a TriMet bus driver helping a person with a neck injury “in urgent need of help,” officials said. The deputy then provided first aid until Gresham firefighters responded, taking the victim to the hospital.

Deputies arrested 56-year-old Michael Romine in connection to the stabbing. He was booked in the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of attempted second-degree murder, first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
Officials say the victim is still in intensive care.
The incident is currently under investigation.
