1 injured following 2 gunshot incidents in Jamestown
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two separate gunshot incidents occurred Saturday night in Jamestown, with officers dispatched less than an hour apart, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Police said around 7:15 p.m., they responded to Lafayette Street near Isabella Avenue for a gunshot complaint. Multiple shell casings were observed in the area as they secured the scene. Ten minutes later, it was reported that a male with an injury consistent with a gunshot wound had arrived at UPMC Chautauqua.
The male was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released.
Just before 8:10 p.m., approximately a mile away from the first incident, Jamestown Police were dispatched to Columbia Avenue for another gunshot complaint. Police say rounds had struck a residence and no one was injured.
