1 killed, 2 more injured in Lewiston crash early Sunday
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a crash in Lewiston early Sunday morning, according to police.
Police were called to the intersection of Walmore Road and Upper Mountain Road just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, where preliminary investigation showed that a car traveling north on Walmore failed to stop at a stop sign.
A 20-year-old male who was the backseat passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 27-year-old male who was the front seat passenger was airlifted to ECMC with serious injuries, but is in stable condition. The driver, a 19-year-old female, was transported to ECMC and is in stable condition.
Police told News 4 WIVB on Monday that all three occupants of the vehicle were residents of the Tuscarora Reservation. Their names are currently being withheld.
