16 DUI arrests made in Kansas over Independence Day holiday: KHP
TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) is releasing the details of its Independence Day holiday report for this year.
The report includes citations, warnings and arrests made from 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3 to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 7. One highlight of the report is there were no fatal crashes throughout the recorded period of time.

DUI arrests – 16
Speed citations – 1085
Speed warnings – 909
Safety belt adult citations – 142
Safety belt adult warnings – 8
Safety belt teen citations – 7
Safety belt teen warnings – 0
Child restrain citations – 28
Motorist assists – 901
