17-year-old shot in Danville in stable condition
DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — A 17-year-old in Danville is in stable condition after he was shot Tuesday night.
Around 9 p.m., Danville Police Officers and Vermilion County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Franklin St. after hearing gunshots during patrol. Responding officers found a crime scene where they learned that shots were fired between two different addresses on that street. They said that houses and vehicles on the street were struck with bullets.

A 17-year-old was brought to a local hospital from the scene of the shooting and later transferred to another hospital where he remains in stable condition.
Officials with the Danville Police Department said they spoke with several witnesses after the incident and appreciate the cooperation from the community. They added no further information is available at this time.
