The 70-year-old pastor was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Despite his injuries, Livingston was able to recover enough to preach before his congregation on Easter Sunday, just five weeks after he was shot.

“In my spirit and in my heart, I know that Jesus brought me through this,” he told WREG.

Greer had been arrested on May 17 for unrelated auto burglary and aggravated assault cases, including an April 17 incident where a group of suspects stole a Corvette from a home on Woodstock Road.

Greer faces multiple charges of aggravated assault, theft of property, and motor vehicle burglary in those cases. He also faces several gun possession charges.

According to court documents, while looking into those cases, investigators were able to search Greer’s cell phone. During the search, investigators reportedly found pictures of Greer in the car that was stolen from Livingston’s church.

Court documents say Greer admitted to driving the car away from the scene of the shooting.

Greer has been given a $250,000 bond in the case of the shooting. Records show that Greer also has several bond amounts for unrelated cases, bringing the total to $390,500.

Greer is expected to be in court Tuesday morning.
