2 arrested, cannabis products seized from shop in Warsaw
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two people were arrested and cannabis products were seized from a business in the Village of Warsaw, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s office said Thursday.
Ahid Kalid, 25, and Ahmed Kalid, 24, are facing charges. Police said the two owned and operated a shop under the name “Warsaw Convenience” on North Main Street in Warsaw and allegedly sold cannabis to people under 21.
The alleged crimes were uncovered after police said they did an undercover buy after “numerous complaints from the community.” Ahmed Kalid was arrested during a traffic stop on Sept. 10, and Ahid Kalid was arrested on Sept. 23 following a search warrant at the business.
During the search, authorities said they seized illegal flavored vape products, cannisters of nitrous oxide and other various items.
Ahid Kalid is charged with third-degree criminal sale of cannabis, and Ahmed Kalid is charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, DWAI, and other traffic infractions.
