2 Buffalo men arrested in connection with Smith Street shooting
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two Buffalo men were arrested Thursday in connection with a shooting on Smith Street last month that left one injured, Buffalo police officials announced.
Officials said around 11 p.m. on July 16, officers responded to the 100 block of Smith Street, near South Park Avenue, where they found a victim — a 25-year-old man from Buffalo — suffering from a gunshot wound.
It’s alleged that four unknown men unlawfully entered a home and shot the victim, police said.
The victim was transported to ECMC by ambulance where he was treated and released.
Ismael Gonzalez-Colon, 35, was charged with the following:
one count of second-degree attempted murder
one count of first-degree burglary
one count of first-degree robbery
one count of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
one count of second-degree reckless endangerment
Lemuel Moro Ferrer, 24, was charged with one count of first-degree burglary and one count of first-degree robbery.
The investigation remains ongoing.
