2 suspected drug dealers in Baldwin County face second manslaughter charge in a week
BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — For the second time in a week, 32-year-old Roshell Benson and 22-year-old Madison Hayek are back before a judge facing another manslaughter charge.
This time for the death of 31-year-old Taz Grayson back in June.

“Ultimately these individuals admitted their involvement in providing those deadly drugs to Mr. Grayson,” Assistant District Attorney Patrick Doggett said.
Investigators were already looking into his death when 25-year-old Skyelar Sanders died of a fentanyl overdose in Orange Beach just over a week ago. Benson, Hayek, Gerald Anderson and Malia Decautur were all charged with manslaughter in her death.

“Right now it is clear that Mr. Benson and Ms. Hayek are responsible for two deaths in this county,” Doggett said.
A new law that went into effect in April allows law enforcement to charge alleged drug dealers with manslaughter if the evidence is there to prove it.
Doggett said the message to anyone dealing fentanyl in Baldwin County is clear.
“Anyone who decides to deal this deadly drug, you are being watched,” he said.

Benson and Hayek have both been in jail since their last bond hearing. This time, the judge added another $100,000 to their bond total.
If convicted, manslaughter carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
