2024 RNC speakers to include celebrities, GOP officials and former Trump rival

While the official list of speakers for next week’s Republican National Convention remains fuzzy, a handful of politicians and celebrities are confirming they’re slated to take the stage at the four-day event in Milwaukee.

So far, they include Florida Gov. and former Republican candidate Ron DeSantis, former reality TV star and Kanye’s ex Amber Rose, Indiana Congressman Jim Banks and Iowa's Republican Attorney General Brenna Bird. They are joined by Donald Trump, Jr., who is to give his address right before his father's vice presidential nominee.

Iowa’s Republican Party Chair Jeff Kaufmann will deliver the RNC’s speech formally nominating Donald Trump for president, the Des Moines Register reported Thursday.

Banks, a Republican running for Indiana's open U.S. Senate seat, will give his speech at 7 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, according to campaign staff.

The names of the RNC speakers will become public in the coming days, and Lara Trump, co-chair of the Republican National Committee and wife of Donald Trump’s son, Eric, hinted at the presence of “unlikely attendees” at this year’s convention.

“I think you’ll be very excited, and I think very surprised actually to see a lot of the people that we’re going to have speaking at the convention this year,” she said Monday, according to ABC affiliate station WISN-TV. As the co-chair of the RNC, Trump is expected to speak at the event, as well.

The convention is scheduled for July 15-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where the GOP will officially nominate Trump as the Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election. The event is anticipated to attract tens of thousands of visitors to Wisconsin, including delegates from all 50 states and six U.S. territories.
