29-year-old man dies after being hit by service vehicle in Green Bay
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) — A 29-year-old Wisconsin man died after being struck by a service vehicle while attempting to cross the street Friday night in Green Bay.
Officers from the Green Bay Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Main Street shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Oct. 11 for a report of a pedestrian lying in the roadway. The man, from Eaton, was transported to a hospital, where he died from his injuries on Oct. 13.

Authorities said the driver of the van, employed by a service provider contracted by Green Bay Metro, was not a city employee. A preliminary investigation found that neither speed nor alcohol contributed to the crash. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.
No citations have been issued, and the investigation is ongoing.
