4 charged following kidnapping, gang assault on Virginia Street
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Four people have been arrested following an alleged kidnapping and gang assault on Virginia Street last week, Buffalo Police said Monday.
It is alleged that four people: 20-year-old Raymone Wilson, 22-year-old Savannah Brosius, 25-year-old Daquel Braxton and 26-year-old Jeremiah Martin, all of Buffalo, tied a 21-year-old male victim to a chair at an apartment on the 500 block of Virginia Street and beat him on Oct. 2.
Police said the victim had his head shaved, had bleach and boiling water poured on his body and was hit several times by a belt. The victim’s phones, backpack and wallet were also taken. The victim suffered burns, welts, lacerations and bruising.
Police said the victim was located because the family had been contacted for ransom and alerted police.
The four are charged with first-degree kidnapping, first-degree assault, second-degree gang assault and second-degree robbery. Wilson was also charged with one count of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance as it is alleged that he had crack cocaine on him when he was arrested.
Police said they are in search of other outstanding suspects and further charges could be coming.
