4 facing drug charges after Livingston Parish deputies seize meth, fentanyl
LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — Four people were arrested after an investigation by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Agents with the LPSO Narcotics Division got a complaint about the distribution of fentanyl in Livingston Parish, according to the sheriff’s office. Sheriff Jason Ard said the complaint centered around Kelvin “BoBo” Johnson, 48, of Baton Rouge.
According to Ard, agents were able to locate Johnson after a traffic stop. The investigation also led agents to a home on Blount Lane in Walker.
Agents were able to secure and complete a search warrant for the home on Blount Lane. The sheriff’s office said the following items were seized:
Around 33.2 grams of heroin/fentanyl mixture.
Around 18.4 grams of methamphetamine.
Around 20.8 grams of LSD edibles.
Around 9.1 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.
Around 14 dosage units of Adderall.
Around $1,464.
One illegally modified shotgun.
Baton Rouge police arrest wanted man with ‘extensive criminal history’ after standoff
Johnson was arrested and charged with the creation/production/manufacture of a Schedule II drug and possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule I drug.
Christopher Jones, 41, of Walker, was arrested and charged with manufacture/distribution of Schedule II drug, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I drug, possession of a firearm with drugs, felon in possession of a firearm, possession of an illegal firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Troy Tate, 48, of Denham Springs, was arrested and charged with manufacture/distribution of Schedule II drug, possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I drug and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jessica Thornton, 46, of Denham Springs, was arrested and charged with possession of Schedule II drugs.
This is an ongoing investigation.
