A 4-year-old is dead after a fatal car crash in Delaware County
DELAWARE, Ohio (WCMH) — One child is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Concord Township.
At approximately 4:06 p.m. Saturday, a silver 2015 Dodge Durango collided with a 2025 black Honda Pilot, injuring several and resulting in the death of a 4-year-old boy.
According to State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when the Honda Pilot failed to stop at a stop sign on Moore Road at State Route 745 and was struck by the other vehicle. Both cars veered off the road.

The Honda struck then struck a mailbox, fire hydrant and tree before overturning, troopers said. Inside the car were three passengers: two adults, aged 40 and 41 respectively, and the 4-year-old. Both adults were transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Troopers said the child was transferred to a different hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Following the crash, the Dodge Durango struck a tree, troopers said. It was carrying two adults, ages 47 and 53, along with three children, ages 7, 9 and 16. According to Highway Patrol, both adults and the 16-year-old were transferred to a third hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The 7- and 9-year-old were transferred to the same hospital as the 4-year-old, where they were treated for minor injuries.
Highway Patrol said all occupants of the Dodge were wearing seatbelts, but no occupants of the Honda were wearing seatbelts or restraints.
According to troopers, it is unknown if any impairment or distractions were involved. The crash remains under investigation.
