Four rescued after boat capsizes near Causeway Bridge
METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — Four people have been rescued after a boat reportedly capsized near the Causeway Bridge on Saturday, Aug. 24.
According to the Jefferson Parish Fire Department, around 2:30 p.m., members of the JPFD were dispatched to a boat rescue of the four individuals, only two of whom were wearing life jackets.
The JPFD received help from a “good Samaritan” boat owner that took three of the firefighters out to where the accident occurred. All four boaters were rescued.

Video captured by WGNO showed the overturned boat in the water nearby the Causeway, 15 minutes from Bonnabel Boat Launch.
