UPDATE: I-41 North in Fond du Lac reopens after fire, large amounts of smoke

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – WisDOT officials have given the all-clear after a fire closed down a section of I-41 North in Fond du Lac earlier on Wednesday.
Around 1:34, less than an hour after the initial release, WisDOT stated that all lanes have now been reopened.
No word has been provided on any circumstances surrounding the fire or what caused it. Local 5 will update this story when more information is provided.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Officials have provided an update to the lanes that are closed on I-41 North in Fond du Lac due to an ongoing fire.
An updated release from WisDOT around 1:25 p.m. now says that only the right lane of I-41 northbound is affected.

FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – A fire has caused all lanes on a section of I-41 in Fond du Lac near Town Line Road to shut down.
According to WisDOT, I-41 North is closed beyond the ramp from County OO because of a fire. The incident was first reported around 12:55 p.m. on July 10.
Authorities estimate the closure to take roughly 2 hours.
