50 Cent never misses an opportunity to crack a joke or make light of something that may not be a joke to others. Most recently, the 49-year-old rapper displayed a Donald Trump Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ meme on a large screen at his concert, just hours after a shooting at Trump’s latest rally.

The G-Unit leader had a show in Boston on Saturday (July 13), the same day the internet was hit with the news that Trump was shot at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania. As Fif prepared to perform his classic record “Many Men (Wish Death),” he opted to show the world how tapped in he was to current events.

He took the Trump Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ meme that had Trump’s head photoshopped on his body and displayed it for the entire crowd to see. He also jumped on X (formerly Twitter) to acknowledge the situation. He posted a photo of the meme and wrote, “Trump gets shot and now I’m trending” with a shrug emoji. On Instagram, 50 shared the photo of Trump holding his fist in the air while blood leaked from his ear and wrote “I know the vibes. We are all in trouble now.”

Donald Trump was shot this past Saturday while making a speech at his campaign rally in Pennsylvania. Footage showed him speaking from the podium, then gunshots can be heard. He fell to the ground and the Secret Service rushed the stage as gunshots continued to go off. Eventually, they got Trump back to his feet and as they attempted to get him off the stage, he was insistent on holding up his fist to the crowd as a sign of his resilience, which caused them to erupt in applause.

The FBI was able to determine the identity of the shooter, a 20-year-old registered Republican named Thomas Matthew Crooks. Crooks was shot and killed by the Secret Service moments after he shot at Donald Trump, NBC News reports.

“I have been briefed on the shooting at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania,” President Joe Biden wrote in a statement about his opponent in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. “I’m grateful to hear that he’s safe and doing well. I’m praying for him and his family and for all those who were at the rally, as we await further information. Jill and I are grateful to the Secret Service for getting him to safety. There’s no place for this kind of violence in America. We must unite as one nation to condemn it.”
