I-57 fully reopens in Champaign Co. after rollover crash
CHAMPAIGN COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — All lanes of I-57 in Champaign County are open again after a rollover crash early Monday morning.
Officials with the Illinois State Police said that at 5:36 a.m., a van was driving north between Tolono and Savoy when it crossed into the median and rolled over. Why the van went into the median is a mystery at this time.
Woman found dead in Jacksonville overnight, man in custody
State Police said there is no indication that the driver of the van was taken from the scene due to injuries.
The left northbound lane was shut down shortly after as part of the crash investigation. It reopened at 7:30 a.m.
