I-610 East in New Orleans reopens following shooting investigation
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department announced that part of Interstate 610 was closed as part of a shooting investigation.
The NOPD reported a person who had been shot arrived at a hospital in a private vehicle around 1:42 p.m.

NOPD officers said initial reports show the shooting occurred on I-610 East at the Canal Boulevard on-ramp.
NOPD officials said I-610 East was closed at the Interstate 10/I-610 split at the Jefferson Parish line while officers investigated.
Drivers were asked to find an alternate route, and traffic is was diverted to I-10 East.
The NOPD announced that I-610 East reopened around 3 p.m.
