7 attractions you can visit in McComb
MCCOMB, Miss. (WJTV) – There are plenty of places across Mississippi, including the City of McComb, where you can visit attractions that help make each city unique.
WJTV 12 News has compiled a list of places that you can visit in McComb.
Black History Gallery
The gallery began operations in 2001. It features a collection complete with personal narratives, artifacts and more.
Bo Diddley Blues Trail Marker
Bo Diddley was born near Magnolia, Mississippi, in 1928. Acclaimed as a founder of rock ‘n’ roll, Diddley pioneered the use of electronic distortion. The marker is located near the McComb Railroad Museum.
Bogue Chitto Water Park
Visitors can set up camp and relax on a tree-shaded campsite or rent a cabin. They can enjoy the day by floating on the Bogue Chitto River, exploring the park’s nature trials or visit fellow campers.
Edgewood Park
Located on Lakeshore Drive, the McComb park features a playground set, three pavilions, areas to picnic, BBQ pits and a large green space.
Lions Park
Lions Park in McComb is adjacent to the Southwest Regional Medical Center. The park has several facilities, including baseball fields, tennis courts and playgrounds.
Percy Quin State Park
There are a variety of activities at Percy Quin State Park. There are picnic tables and grills, playgrounds, tennis courts, a marina, and and 18-hole golf course. Boating is also available on Lake Tangipahoa.
Quail Hollow Golf Course
The Quail Hollow Golf Course is located at Percy Quin State Park. Quail Hollow offers the ultimate challenge for golfers of every skill level.
