70-year-old driver dead following crash with dump truck in Lockport
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 70-year-old driver was killed following a collision with a dump truck Wednesday afternoon in Lockport, according to New York State Police.
Police responded to the intersection of Beattie Avenue and Hamm Road around 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, where it was determined that a Honda Civic being operated by Laurie J. Wright of Lockport failed to yield the right of way while turning left onto Beattie and was hit by the dump truck.
Wright was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the dump truck was not injured.
The crash is still under investigation.
