70-year-old woman struck by gunfire in Buffalo
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police are questioning an individual after a 70-year-old woman was struck by gunfire early Thursday morning, officials announced.
Police responded around 4:30 a.m. to the first block of Kerns Avenue, where the elderly victim was struck by gunfire in the hand area while inside a residence, according to officials.
The woman was transported by ambulance to ECMC to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
In addition to questioning an individual, officials said police also recovered a gun at the scene.
