UPDATE: Missing 76-year-old from Marinette County found safe, Silver Alert canceled

CRIVITZ, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities say that the search for a missing 76-year-old man has ended after he was reportedly found safe.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Norman Hoefert, 76, was found safe. The Silver Alert has been canceled.
No additional details were provided.
76-year-old man reported missing from Marinette County
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2024, 6:37 p.m.
(WFRV)—The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in locating a 76-year-old man who was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
According to the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network, Norman L. Hoefert is listed at 5-foot-11 and 130 pounds. According to the release, he was last seen in Crivitz.
Hoefert was reportedly last seen wearing blue jeans, a black jacket, a blue shirt and gray shoes. He reportedly went for a walk, and the tracker he has on him is not working.

Multiple drone units, K9 and grid searches were completed overnight and are scheduled throughout the day.
