Above-ground metro rail service to close starting Oct. 27
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The NFTA Metro announced Tuesday that their above-ground rail service will be closed for most of November.
Between Oct. 27 and Nov. 23, above-ground service will be shut down and those taking the underground service will have to transfer to a bus shuttle at Allen Station. The bus will stop at all 8-Main stops between Allen and Canalside stations which can be seen below.
In addition, Metro bus routes 1, 2, 4, 69, 70 and 72 will be impacted between Oct. 28 and Nov. 8 by the closure of the intersection of Main and Court Streets.
Single tracking resumes on Nov. 24 and full service on both tracks resumes Dec. 1 until further notice.
