According to HSI officials, 45-year-old William Gilchrist, of Greenville, Mississippi, was indicted in the case by a federal grand jury in the Eastern District of Louisiana on July 19.

Court documents state that, on or around June 19, Gilchrist allegedly pretended to be a Fugitive Task Force officer with the U.S. Marshals Service. During a subsequent interview, he admitted to conducting traffic stops and making arrests in two different vehicles.

His statements reportedly revealed that there may have been other victims.

In seeking the potential victims, HSI officials ask that anyone who has encountered a blue 2010 Chevrolet Silverado or a white 2023 Chevrolet Silverado contact them at [email protected].
