Who is Teen in Agatha All Along? The key fan theory
Joe Locke plays a mystery character in the WandaVision spin-off
Agatha All Along has a mystery simmering in the background of Agatha Harkness' story — the identity of Joe Locke's character.
The Heartstopper actor plays a character who is referred to simply as Teen, or "pet" if you're Agatha (Kathryn Hahn), because whenever he tries to reveal his identity those around him are unable to hear what he's saying. This mystery has left many people wondering who he could actually be, where he comes from, and what secrets someone is hiding by casting the spell on him.

Here are all the theories around Teen's real identity, as well as everything you need to know about the show's connection to WandaVision and whether it's important to see that first.
Who is Teen in Agatha All Along?
Locke's Teen could be one of several Marvel characters from the comics, but one prevailing theory is that the character is actually Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision's (Paul Bettany) son Billy, aka Wiccan.
The character appeared as a young boy in WandaVision alongside his twin Tommy, with the characters starting to come into their powers. Billy has powerful magical powers much like his mother and Agatha, while Tommy is known by his superhero moniker Speed because of how fast he runs.
These versions of Wanda's children were revealed to be figments of her imagination that she conjured up when she took over Westview to live the family life she always wanted. However, in the finale Wanda learned that her children did exist in another universe so perhaps this is how Locke's Teen came to be at Westview.
Given Teen joins Agatha and her coven on the Witch's Road, and he desires to be a witch just like her, it seems plausible that by the end of the series he would realise he too has magical abilities precisely because he's really Billy. It'd also prove an interesting foil for Agatha, who despises Wanda after the events of the original series, if she has to reckon with her newfound bond with her enemy's son.

However there is another possibility, Teen might actually have a closer connection to Agatha because he could well be her son. The witch had a son known as Nicholas Scratch in the Marvel comics, a supervillain who was a resident of a hidden community of magical users.
Teen has such an obsession with Agatha that could be a result of his close ties to her, even if he doesn't know it. If he learns of his true origins and isn't happy about it, that could also be the push the character needs to become the villain he is in the comics.
Only time will tell, but the character's identity will no doubt be revealed by the end of the series and when it is there will be a reckoning of one kind or another.
Do you need to watch WandaVision before Agatha All Along?
This brings us to the next burning question that viewers have about Agatha All Along, and that's whether it is necessary to watch WandaVision before diving into the new Disney+ series.
The quick answer to that is yes, viewers would definitely benefit from watching WandaVision first so that they understand exactly what is happening in the new show. Agatha is without her powers and living in a TV world of her own as a result of the events in WandaVision, and viewers will understand why she feels so strongly against Wanda if they see the previous series.
That's not to say it's impossible to watch Agatha All Along without having seen WandaVision, it is its own story so a viewer can still understand it on its own merit. However, viewers will have a better understanding of Agatha and her motivations if they've seen WandaVision.
Also, WandaVision is widely seen as Marvel's best TV series since they began creating shows for Disney+, so it is worth watching it if you haven't done so already.
Agatha All Along's first two episodes are out now on Disney+, new episodes air every Thursday.
