ALEA: Third person dies following Marshall County wreck on Saturday
MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — A passenger involved in a two-vehicle crash outside of Arab has died.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) has identified the passenger as Brandy D. Burden, 51, of Joppa. ALEA said Burden was riding with 75-year-old Carolyn Thompson, of Joppa when a motorcycle, driven by Blake E. Hicks, 27, of Arab, struck their vehicle.

ALEA said Burden succumbed to her injuries on Monday, July 8 at Huntsville Hospital. Both Thompson and Hicks died on Saturday, July 6.
According to the Marshall County Coroner’s Office, the crash happened at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and US Highway 231 in Union Grove on Saturday around 7 p.m.
The Brindlee Mountain Fire Department, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office, and the Marshall County Coroner’s Office Chaplain all assisted during the incident.
