The countdown is on: Everything you need to know about Prime Day 2019
It’s finally official — the date of Amazon’s epic deals event has been announced. Amazon Prime Day 2019 begins July 15 — and runs for two whole days! This year, some incredible deals are starting weeks before the big sale officially begins.
The Toshiba 43-inch full HD Smart LED (Fire Tv edition), normally $300, is on sale right now for $180. With $120 in savings happening on top-rated brands like this, this Prime Day is sure to be one for the books. This deal, which ends on June 30th, is limited to Amazon Prime members only. If you’re not a Prime member, sign up for a free 30 day trial, here.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day, which began five years ago, is Amazon’s biggest shopping event for its Prime members. This year, the sale will last for 48 hours. That’s a full 12 hours longer than last year’s Prime Day. It kicks off on Monday, July 15 at 3 a.m. ET, and includes markdowns on thousands of products — electronics, apparel, household items and more. Last year, the top-seller of Prime Day was an Instant Pot — so expect to see best-sellers and top-rated favorites on sale this year as well.
When is Amazon Prime Day 2019?
A 48-hour event, Amazon Prime Day will begin on Monday, July 15 at 3 a.m. ET and concludes on Wednesday, July 17 at 2:59 a.m. ET.
Do I need to be a Prime member?
Yes, you do. But if you’re not a Prime member, there’s still time to sign up and take advantage of the savings. Prime plans are $12.99 per month (or $119 per year), and all members get a free 30 day trial at sign up.
Prime member benefits include free delivery and unlimited 2-day, same-day or 2-hour shipping for select items and locations. It also comes with access to Prime Video, Amazon Music, and Prime Reading for all your entertainment needs.
Families with babies receive up to 20 percent off on diapers and baby food subscriptions. Moreover, shoppers get access to exclusive deals from Whole Foods Market and Prime Now in select cities.
How do I find the best deals?
There are a few things you can do to score deals on your favorite items. The first is to get familiar with the popular pages across the site because they’ll likely house the best deals:
Deals of the Day: Last 24 hours.
Lightning Deals: Last a few hours, while supplies last. Prime members get access to these 30 minutes before they go live to the public.
Savings and Sales: Ongoing deals on select brands or products.
Coupons: Get even better prices on items with coupons (read all about it here).
We also recommend setting up a Wish List. That way, you’ve identified your must-have items before Prime Day, and once the sales are live, you can add to your cart seamlessly.
If you haven’t already done so, downloading the app is a must, as it allows you to snag some early deals up to a week in advance. Believe it or not, you can also ask Alexa to search for secret sales!
