Amy Yasbeck's call to action for Aortic Dissection Awareness Day

Sept. 19 is Aortic Dissection Awareness Day. Amy Yasbeck, who was married to John Ritter, founded the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health shortly after his death from an acute aortic dissection. The foundation aims to raise awareness about this life-threatening condition, which is often misdiagnosed. Yasbeck joined us live to discuss the foundation's mission on what would have been Ritter's 76th birthday. For more information on the John Ritter Foundation for Aortic Health, including how to donate, visit JohnRitterFoundation.org. This segment aired on the KTLA 5 Morning News on Sept. 17, 2024.
