“First week has been great its been really exciting to see everyone back on campus,” Crista Brown, Associate Vice President at Angelina College said.
Brown credits their First Year Free program for bringing more people to join their roadrunner family.
“What that means is that if you graduate from an Angelina County high school and you complete a few checkmarks you’re able to come to Angelina College absolutely free,” Brown said.
A young mother from Conroe said the support from the college is helping her thrive as a student.
“To have people invest in us, love us and I feel like I see it clearly that the professors here that the people who work here invest in their students and they want us to succeed,” Paulina Cruz-Yado, an Angelina College Sophomore said.
Grateful to be going into another year and hoping to grow in Lufkin.
“I hope everyone else loves it because it’s just an amazing place,” Cruz-Yado said.
