Another Encino home hit in series of San Fernando Valley break-ins
A break-in at a home in Encino Sunday night is the fourth targeted in the neighborhood in recent weeks and the sixth home hit in the San Fernando Valley this month.
Sunday’s incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. when two male suspects entered a home on the 4900 block of Noeline Avenue, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson confirmed.
Video showed officers found what appeared to be a handbag while searching the property.
A broken glass door was also seen at the back of the house where the suspects likely made entry but police have not confirmed any details about the break-in.
Witnesses reported seeing a white vehicle leaving the scene.
Last week, a woman on the 5000 block of Rubio Avenue in Encino came home to find masked men ransacking her home after breaking through a window on July 24.
The thieves escaped with thousands of dollars worth of designer bags and shoes before driving away in a white vehicle.
A home belonging to rapper BLXST on the 16700 block of Morrison Street in Encino was hit earlier this month on July 16.
Video footage posted by the rapper shows three suspects breaking the glass of a door located near the side yard of the home.
And a home on the 4900 block of Edgerton Avenue was targeted twice in July on both the 11th and then again on the 15th.
In the July 11th break-in, a woman was inside the home with her grandchild and an employee. They were not physically injured in the incident.
The intruders fled in a white vehicle in both of the break-ins.
Two homes in Woodland Hills have also been targeted this month.
Video showed burglars entering a home on the 4400 block of Winnetka Avenue; three suspects fled the home in a white SUV.
Another Woodland Hills home on the 4500 block of Del Moreno Drive was also struck.
According to stringer service RMG News, jewelry, cash and designer bags were taken from the home.
The Los Angeles Police Department has not determined which of the incidents, if any, were related.
