Appleton PD investigating ‘vague’ threat to North High School, increase police presence
APPLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – Officers in Appleton are investigating a ‘vague’ threat that was made Tuesday night on Snapchat involving Appleton North High School and will have an increased police presence at the school.
According to a Facebook post from the Appleton Police Department, officers were made aware of the threat around 6:30 p.m. on September 10. Officers say they are actively investigating the source of the message.
“The department is working closely with the appropriate jurisdictions and the Appleton Area School District to ensure the safety of students,” Appleton PD’s post reads.

Out of an abundance of caution, additional school resource officers have been reportedly sent to Appleton North High School and are stationed inside and outside the school building.
