Arrests made after police standoff on Bedford
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Two people have been arrested after police say a situation escalated during an argument between two neighbors.
Charles Hardin and Bresha Williams face several charges after police say they were called to the 1600 block of South Bedford Avenue for reports of a man with a gun.
Officers say Hardin came out of a house with a shotgun after arguing with a group of people, one victim claimed he threatened to “shoot up” her family.
We’re told officers surrounded the home and three people came out, including Hardin.
Police say Williams refused to come out of the house and surrendered when they entered the home.
Hardin is facing several charges including intimidation with a deadly weapon and resisting law enforcement.
Williams faces obstruction of justice charges.
