On May 27, a post on the restaurant’s social media page stated:

“Hi everyone! As many of you may have heard, we unfortunately had a small electrical fire early Saturday morning. As of right now we are really hoping to be back open by the weekend. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. When we have a definite time frame we will definitely let all of you know. We are looking forward to taking care of all of you guys real soon!”

A GoFundMe online fundraiser organized by the head manager Angela Nash was launched to raise money to support the nearly 80 out-of-work employees. The statement noted that the restaurant will be closed for the “unforeseeable future.”

As of May 31, $1,025 had been raised and the function to donate was disabled by the organizer.
