Asian hot pot restaurant opens in Dublin with robot servers
DUBLIN, Ohio (WCMH) — A pair of local restaurateurs have launched a new all-you-can-eat Asian grill in central Ohio, home to a “hot pot” dining experience that features ingredients delivered to each table by robots.
PJ Hot Pot Korean BBQ and Bar is now welcoming guests at 6100 Sawmill Road in Dublin, taking over a 10,000-square-foot unit previously home to a martial arts facility. The eatery marks a collaboration between Joe Lin, owner of Blue Ginger Asian Fusion Bistro and Cajun Boil Seafood and Bar, and Peter Chen, owner of Pier 11 and Sakana.

At PJ’s, the communal dining experience features a simmering hot pot of broth at the center of each table. Customers pick their base before choosing from a selection of sliced meats, seafood, vegetables, noodles and rice. Guests then receive their ingredients directly to their table from robots, and use the hot pot to cook the dish themselves.
Customers wishing to have their dish prepared Korean-barbecue style can have their ingredients cooked on a large central grill by the PJ’s chef. The restaurant is one of several new central Ohio eateries utilizing a central grill concept, including WY Mongolian Grill in Lewis Center that is opening this spring.
