According to an FHP press release, the crash happened around 1:28 a.m. on July 9 near Mile Marker 251 on Interstate 10 westbound.
Officials said a 56-year-old Atmore man driving his pickup truck with a boat trailer in tow, went off the roadway and onto the paved shoulder.
The report said the man attempted to re-enter the roadway, but his boat jackknifed, causing the vehicle to overturn and collide with the guardrail.
