Authorities probe two unrelated deaths in same Wisconsin location
JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) — Authorities are conducting two death investigations that occurred in the same location this past week in southern Wisconsin.
According to a release, on Oct. 6, at about 3:45 p.m., officers from the Janesville Police Department were sent to the 1000 block of N. Washington St. in response to a report of an unresponsive man.

Upon arrival, officers found a man lying near a gazebo, where he had been discovered by an acquaintance who promptly called 911. Officers and paramedics immediately initiated life-saving measures, but the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Tuesday, Oct. 8, at about 11:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to the same area in response to another report of an unresponsive man found by a bystander.
Upon arrival, officers located the man under the gazebo. Life-saving measures were initiated again, but he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
At this time, investigators have determined that there are no signs of trauma or foul play involved in either incident, and there is no threat to public safety.
The identities of the deceased will not be released until the next of kin can be notified. The investigations are ongoing.
