How to Get Away with Murder star says major characters will die in final season
How to Get Away with Murder star Amirah Vann has revealed that major characters (yes, plural) will die in the final season.
Speaking to TVLine, the actress, who plays Tegan Price, couldn't stress enough that it won't be insignificant background characters that perish, either.
"People you love are gonna die. Yes, D-I-E. Die. Not extras, not day players, but people you’ve been taking [this] journey with," she said.
The legal drama, which is led by Viola Davis, will conclude with a 15-episode season that follows Professor Annalise Keating's class in their final semester of law school.
Billy Brown, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Matt McGorry, Charlie Weber, Liza Weil, Conrad Ricamora, Rome Flynn and Amirah Vann will star in the sixth and final season of the ABC drama, which will premiere on the network on Thursday, September 26.
And it was recently announced that When They See Us star Marsha Stephanie Blake would also be joining the cast in a guest-starring role.
On the decision to end the show, creator Pete Nowalk admitted it was "brutal" but unavoidable.
"Deciding to end this series was a brutal decision, but ultimately the story tells you what to do – as it did here," he said in a statement.
How to Get Away with Murder season 6 will premiere on September 26 on ABC in the US.
