Baby dies after being left inside car in Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a six-month-old baby was found dead inside a car on Tuesday, July 30.
The East Baton Rouge Coroner’s Office identified the baby as Weston Crowdus and said an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, July 31.
Deputies responded to East Tom Stokes Court after getting a call around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
EBRSO said, “The parent accidentally forgot to drop the baby off at daycare and went to work and then went to pick the baby up from daycare and realized that the baby was still in the car.”
At this time, there is no word on whether charges will be filed in this case.
